WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA AND WHAT DOES PROCESSING MEAN?

Personal data are all data about a natural or legal person that make it possible to identify the person. This includes (but is not limited to) your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, gender, or nationality. Processing personal data refers to any (partly) automated operation performed on this personal data. Not automated processing of personal data are also included, when this data are meant to be added to a physical or online dossier or file.

WHICH PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

We process personal data of our current or potentially future customers that have been provided by you by means of for instance an e-mail, a contact form, business card, etc. We can process your following data:

  • The address of your work location;
  • Your gender;
  • Your contact data, such as e-mail address and phone number;
  • Your job title;
  • The company that you work for;
  • The language you speak;

FOR WHICH PURPOSE DO WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Providing quotes;
  • Communicating about orders;
  • Registering your settings and preferences for using our website (via cookies);
  • Efficiently providing our services or products, such as contacting you via phone or e-mail;
  • Answering your questions or requests to contact you;
  • Sending our newsletter;
  • Handle your payment;

WHAT IS THE LAWFUL BASIS ON WHICH WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Often we process your data because it is necessary for the conclusion or implementation of the sales agreement with you, because processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (for instance for prevention of fraud), or because we are legally obliged. In cases where these bases do not apply, we will ask your permission. For instance the distribution of our newsletter with information on new developments, changes within our organisation and the explanation of technical topics, is subject to your consent. You are always able to unsubscribe from the newsletter, when you do not want to receive this information any longer. We will ask a new permission, when we want to process your personal data for other purposes than you have given your consent to.

HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We do not retain your personal data any longer than is necessary for the purposes they are collected for. Your data will be retained to a maximum of 10 years after our last contact with you. When the retention period has ended we will destroy or anonymize your personal data.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell your personal data to third parties and forward personal data solely when this is necessary for the execution of our contract / sales agreement with you, or to be able to comply with legal obligations. It is possible we have to supply your personal data to government (authority). We have Data Processing Agreements in place with companies that are assigned by us to process your data, such as software service providers for the computer systems that we use, to ensure the safety and confidentiality of your data.

WHICH RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE?

The General Data Protection Regulation aims to increase the rights of data subjects. As data subject you have the right to inspect, correct, erase, restrict and transfer the personal data about you that has been processed. The right to transfer personal data means that you can apply a request for us to transmit your personal data in a computer file to you or to someone else of your choosing. COOKIES

On our website we make use of functional cookies and analytic cookies, where we make use of internet analysing systems, such as Google analytics. This is solely used by our Marketing department to be able to measure the performance of our website. This data is anonymous and cookies do not gather your name or IP-address. We take the protection of your data seriously and take fitting precautions to avoid misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes. For this purpose we use access control for our systems. Our employees are obliged to treat your personal data correctly and have to adhere to our privacy policy. Our employees that process your personal data are familiar with the General Data Protection Regulation.
